Stay Protected With Toyota's Safety Sense 2.5 & 2.5 Plus Packages, Available in Maple, Ontario
We've all had to brave the road in less than auspicious conditions - especially during Canada's trying winter months - and thanks to Toyota's comprehensive Safety Sense 2.5 & 2.5 Plus suites of security features and driver-assist functions, motorists can now face congested highways and nighttime commutes with the clearest of heads. If you're based in Maple, Ontario or any of the nearby areas of Vaughan, Richmond Hill, Markham, or North York, pay our Maple Toyota dealership a visit for a thorough account of the Safety Sense perks listed below.
Safety Sense 2.5 Helps Prevent Frontal Collisions and Keeps You Safe in the Dead of Night

Automakers far and wide have dedicated countless hours towards enhancing the safety of their constituents, and Toyota is no exception. The Japanese automotive giant has designed a safety package including a pre-collision camera and radar system that prevents and mitigates frontal collisions with both other vehicles and pedestrians, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control that regulates speed to keep you at a safe distance from the car ahead of you, and Lane Departure Alert enabled via a camera on your windshield in the event of unintentional veering. That very same camera works in tandem with Automatic High Beams, which adjust according to the headlights and taillights of nearby vehicles during more precarious nighttime drives.Â
Rounding out Toyota's Safety Sense 2.5 suite are its Lane Tracing Assist and Road Sign Assist. The former keeps your vehicle centered in its lane based on the position of vehicles ahead and visible lane marks when Dynamic Radar Cruise Control is Enabled, while the latter is designed to alert the driver to speed limit, stop, Do Not Enter and yield signs thanks to a forward-facing camera. Contact our finance centre for more on the Safety Sense package and how to include it in the purchase of your new Toyota.
What is Safety Sense 2.5 Plus and How Does It Differ From Safety Sense 2.5?

The latest configuration of the Safety Sense system offers the same driver-assist functions with a few enhancements, such as a more proactive Pre-Collision System that can detect both pedestrians and cyclists at any time of day, as well as a new wrinkle in the Dynamic Radar Cruise Control that allows the driver to seamlessly change lanes and automatically accelerate past the vehicle ahead as soon as the turn signal and steering are engaged. The vehicle will then gradually adjust back to its preset speed once the lane change is complete. In short, between its cameras, radars and related functions, Toyota's Safety Sense 2.5 and 2.5 Plus suites truly allow car and driver to act as one.
