2023 Toyota Highlander Technology
In 2023, Toyota upgraded the Highlander's infotainment system. Platinum and Limited models now come standard with a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster with four appearance options that Toyota refers to as Sporty, Tough, Smart, and Casual.
The 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system is also available on the XSE and XLE trim levels, which come standard with an 8-inch display and a 7-inch instrument cluster display. The Highlander LE and L come standard with an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 7-inch instrument cluster display. All trims support Bluetooth, Android Auto, Amazon Alexa, Apple CarPlay, and Wi-Fi hotspots. Additionally, the premium trims come with built-in navigation.
2023 Toyota Highlander Performance
The standard on the Highlander is a 265-horsepower, 2.4-litre four-cylinder engine with an eight-speed automatic transmission. It's estimated to get 9.8 L/100 km. This model has an option for front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive and comes with a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT). Using Toyota's extensive hybrid experience, this powertrain gives owners a vehicle with significantly better gas mileage than the base model without sacrificing much performance.
2023 Toyota Highlander Trims
Although the 2023 Highlander includes 11 trims, they're grouped into two alternatives: hybrid and gas. The Highlander Hybrid Bronze Edition, released last year, is a hybrid choice and is featured in Cement (unique to Bronze Edition) and Wind Chill Pearl exterior colours. The Bronze Edition has 18-inch bronze wheels, bronze-coloured embroidery on seats, lighted bronze door sills, and floor and cargo mats stitched with a unique bronze emblem.
The 2023 Highlander XSE (gas) will have all-black 20-inch wheels with 235/55R20 all-season tires. It also features a modified suspension with high-rate springs, a rear stabilizer bar, and low-friction shocks, giving it a dynamic feel.
